Barth Fruit AG specializes in dealing in processed exotic fruits and developing and producing fruit mixes. Our offices in Basel are networked with suppliers and customers around the world, and keep everything safely in hand. Including with personal contacts on location.
We supply juices, purees and concentrates in almost every country on earth, where they’re resold or processed as a base for food and beverages.

FIRST-HAND INFORMATION
Our office manager in Vietnam meets with our suppliers every week, as well as farmers and fresh-fruit dealers. Our customers benefit from this personal dialog and our close connection with where our products come from:
- Demand is growing for environmentally aware, ethically produced food products. We support and monitor producers and processors to help them improve further.
- We personally make sure of harvest quality and yields. That means we have a direct influence – right from the start – even when a customer has special requirements.
- We continuously scout out trends in new recipes, including in the countries our exotic fruits call home.

We at Barth Fruit run our own audits, and are audited ourselves. To be more specific: constantly. Seamless quality assurance isn’t just something we pursue on paper – it’s an expression of our sense of responsibility, our dedication to doing business sustainably.
From the tree to your door
Our products and processes are regularly audited and certified by agents of SQS, SGF, Fair Trade, EU Bio, and more. All our suppliers are subject to equivalently rigorous international standards. Whether in qualifying new suppliers in tropical countries or initially producing a basic ingredient in the Netherlands, we test meticulously. No exceptions.

History
A SPECIALIST IN THE TROPICS,
BUT ROOTED IN TRADITION
Barth Fruit AG has made a significant contribution toward bringing the flavors of exotic fruits to Europe. The conditions back in 1991, when the company got started, could hardly have been better. Barth Fruit’s success story began with a combination of an extensive knowledge of exotic fruit and long experience in producing hops and marketing them worldwide. Today the company counts as a pioneer in its field.
